About Ferny-Dust

It was over 5 years ago. I was using my dad's laptop to play Neopets, when I found this really cute site called: "Fairy-Dust" or something like that. I soon fell in love with that site, and I decided to make my own. I made a site at Piczo, called Starshine2.piczo.com. I was really happy with my work, making Cartoon Dolls all the time, and then I came up with Dolliecrave.com and found the magic of glitter graphics. I had to teach myself on how to do glitter graphics and find the brushes needed for that because no one would respond to my emails. I soon started adding those glitters to my site and I saw my hits were going up, so I continued making them.

A year later I came up with Freewebs.com (now Webs.com) and made a site there too called "Ferny-Dust". I took a free website template from Cute-Spot, and followed the instructions. All this was new for me so I just added some content and closed it four months later to keep updating Starshine2 only. I started making pixels so I could make them into cursors,I joined Teahouse MB 4 years later, and started advertising my site every once in a while to announce my new layouts and sometimes my content updates.

Some members suggested me to leave piczo to a new web host. I wasn't sure of that because I really loved Starshine2, but I then realized they were right. My site was getting very messy, so I re-opened Ferny-Dust and added some goodies from my old site. I wasn't sure if I was getting hits because no one left tags, and I was going to close it, but while browsing on Teahouse MB, I saw a topic talking about hit counters, so I decided to add one to my site. I saw that I was getting some hits, so I kept my site. After some time, some people suggested me to get hosted but I wasn't sure, I was really happy with Freewebs.com. I knew getting hosted meant a lot of opportunities, I thought it would be good for the site so I applied to get hosted by Lizzy, I was soo excited and scared, but I managed to use FTP (and now I know that using FTP is nothing out if this world).

I was having some problems with my site, and Lizzy told me there were like these virus that got attached to php files. She told me she was going to move to a new host, but that didn't solve our problem :(. I changed hosts because there was nothing else I could do with my old url. I couldn't even tell my visitors I was moving, but thanks to my new host Gaby, after she hosted me, she made a blog about my site and I got like 200 hits in one day, 200 unique visitors! I've been here for 2 months and so far I am loving it <3, thank you soo much Gaby for being such a wonderful host. Click Me!
